Big Ocean has returned with “Love Sign,” a new digital single that places sign language at the center of the song’s concept and performance.
Released September 9, the nu-disco track is built primarily around English lyrics and plays on the phrase “What’s your sign?” while connecting that idea directly to the group’s identity. The chorus references American Sign Language, British Sign Language and Korean Sign Language, with sign language also incorporated into the choreography and planned short-form challenge content.
The release marks Big Ocean’s first new single in roughly four months. The trio — PJ, Chanyeon and Jiseok — debuted in 2024 and has continued to build its music and performances around accessibility and Deaf representation.
“Love Sign” also arrives as Big Ocean prepares for a fashion crossover in New York. On September 10, the group is scheduled to appear as part of the Big Ocean × Andy Yu presentation at New York Men’s Day during New York Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer 2027 schedule.
The collaboration is one of the new names joining this season’s New York Men’s Day lineup, and Big Ocean is also expected to perform “Love Sign” during the presentation.
The combination gives the single a broader role than a routine comeback release, tying the group’s accessibility-centered performance identity to an international fashion platform as Big Ocean continues expanding its presence outside Korea.
