The companies will work together from the early stages of overseas expansion, spanning music production, distribution, marketing, promotion and fan engagement.

Reported against primary sources.

Kakao Entertainment has signed a strategic partnership with Atlantic Music Group, expanding its push to develop K-pop artists for global markets.

The partnership goes beyond distributing finished releases overseas. Kakao Entertainment and Atlantic Music Group say they plan to work together from the early stages of an artist’s international expansion, building strategies around each act’s musical identity, stage of development and competitiveness in global markets.

Their collaboration will span music production through song camps and international features, global streaming distribution, digital marketing through social platforms, local television and radio promotion, and communication with overseas fandoms.

Kakao Entertainment will bring its experience across K-pop IP planning, production, distribution, management, marketing and fandom operations, while Atlantic Music Group contributes its A&R, artist-development, marketing and international promotion network. The Warner Music Group-owned company includes labels such as Atlantic Records, 10K Projects and 300 Entertainment.

The companies have not announced which artists will participate in the partnership, and financial terms were not disclosed. For now, the agreement establishes a broader framework for developing and promoting K-pop acts internationally rather than tying the partnership to a single release or artist.
