KO1KEYZ has turned its debut week into a major chart result in Japan.
The 12-member group’s debut single “KO1KEYZ” entered the Oricon Weekly Singles Ranking at No. 1 with 460,000 copies recorded during the October 5–11 tracking period.
Released October 7, the single now holds the highest first-week sales total for a debut single in Oricon’s 2026 chart year.
It is also the first debut single to surpass 300,000 first-week copies on the weekly ranking in roughly two years and five months, following Aぇ! group’s “《A》BEGINNING” in May 2024.
The weekly result builds on KO1KEYZ’s strong opening day, when the group had already reached No. 1 on Oricon’s daily singles ranking. The completed weekly chart is a separate milestone, establishing how the release performed across its full first tracking period rather than only its initial sales day.
KO1KEYZ was formed through “PRODUCE 101 JAPAN SHINSEKAI” and made its Japan and South Korea debut with the self-titled single on October 7.
Billboard Japan separately recorded 525,248 copies for “KO1KEYZ” on its weekly Top Singles Sales chart. That ranking uses SoundScan Japan data and is a separate measurement from Oricon’s 460,000-copy figure.
