NCT Is Turning Seoul Into a 10th-Anniversary Celebration

Fountain shows on the Han River, stage costumes at Seoul Fashion Week and a month of installations across the city are taking NCT’s anniversary well beyond the usual K-pop pop-up.

NCT is celebrating 10 years by taking the anniversary out into Seoul.

SM Entertainment announced on August 31 that a month-long series of events will spread NCT’s music, imagery and signature Pearl Neo Champagne color across several locations in the South Korean capital throughout September.

The celebration begins at Banpo Hangang Park, where the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain will run special shows from September 1–5 choreographed to music from NCT 127, NCT DREAM, WayV, NCT WISH and NCT U.

Then the anniversary moves into fashion.

NCT is collaborating with 2027 S/S Seoul Fashion Week for programming around Lotte World Tower in Jamsil from September 4–6. Stage costumes from across NCT’s activities will be displayed during the event, culminating on September 6 with a “Curated Runway” combining the group’s music and wardrobe.

That same day, an NCT flea market will offer stage outfits, activity-related items and personal belongings contributed by members.

The celebration will also extend around nearby Seokchon Lake.

A large art balloon commemorating the NCT and Seoul Fashion Week collaboration will remain at the lake from September 3–27. From September 7–25, the East Lake and waterside stage will be illuminated at night in NCT’s Pearl Neo Champagne color.

The anniversary then gets a more traditional exhibition component with EXHIBITION : NEO DIMENSION, running from September 18 through October 18 at Deep inside Lotte World Adventure.

Taken individually, fountain shows, costume displays, exhibitions and pop-ups aren’t unusual territory for a major K-pop anniversary.

Putting them together across public spaces in Seoul makes this one more interesting.

NCT began in 2016 with a concept designed around expansion: different units, different cities and an unusually flexible approach to what a K-pop group could look like. Ten years later, NCT operates through units including NCT 127, NCT DREAM, WayV, NCT WISH and NCT U.

SM began the wider NCT 2026 anniversary project in April under the slogan “Everything, All At Once, Neo,” with albums, tours, pop-ups and an exhibition planned across the year.

September’s program takes that idea outside the usual album-and-concert cycle.

For a month, pieces of NCT won’t just be found inside venues or stores.

They’ll be built into Seoul itself.
