SEVENTEEN members Jeonghan and Joshua have made a record-setting start as JxJ, with their debut mini album DREAMSCAPE achieving the highest first-day sales for a K-pop unit album in Hanteo history.

Released on October 19, the project sold 656,011 copies on its opening day, according to Hanteo Chart figures reported on October 20. PLEDIS Entertainment also confirmed the record, which places JxJ ahead of previous unit releases tracked by the chart.

The result additionally placed DREAMSCAPE at No. 1 on Hanteo’s daily Album Chart.

The milestone represents a significant opening achievement for Jeonghan and Joshua’s first release together as JxJ, demonstrating strong demand for the project beyond SEVENTEEN’s full-group activities.

Led by title track “12 o’clock,” DREAMSCAPE explores two intersecting interpretations of dreams: fantasies that emerge from the unconscious and aspirations pursued in reality. The seven-track release brings the members’ individual musical identities together through a shared concept.

The album also recorded international chart activity following its release, topping LINE MUSIC’s real-time Album Top 100 in Japan and QQ Music’s digital bestselling albums chart in China. It additionally reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in at least six regions.

The first-day sales achievement is separate from JxJ’s previously announced debut and accompanying music video. It represents a newly confirmed commercial milestone following the project’s October 19 launch.

The record specifically concerns first-day sales by a K-pop unit album. It is not an all-time record across every K-pop album, nor does it represent the project’s completed first-week sales.
