TWICE’s Jihyo Leaves JYP After 21 Years, Establishes Her Own Agency EMITHAUS

TWICE’s Jihyo has announced her departure from JYP Entertainment after 21 years, marking the beginning of a new chapter under her own company, EMITHAUS.

In a handwritten letter shared on October 21, Jihyo confirmed that her relationship with JYP Entertainment, which began during her childhood, has come to an end.

The singer reflected on growing up within the company, thanking those who supported her throughout her years as a trainee and artist.

A New Beginning With EMITHAUS

Jihyo revealed that she has established EMITHAUS as the next step in her career.

She explained that becoming independent is less about closing the door on her past than choosing how she wants to move forward. Through the new company, she hopes to explore creative possibilities that she has not yet had the opportunity to develop.

The change gives Jihyo a new management home for her individual career following more than two decades with JYP Entertainment.

Jihyo Confirms She Is Staying With TWICE

Importantly, her departure from JYP Entertainment does not mean she is leaving TWICE.

Jihyo explicitly addressed the distinction in her letter, describing TWICE as an irreplaceable part of her life and expressing her intention to continue performing alongside the members.

She also thanked ONCE for their support throughout the group’s 11-year journey.

Jihyo joined JYP Entertainment as a child and later debuted as TWICE’s leader in 2015. Her October 21 announcement establishes a new direction for her independent activities while reaffirming her commitment to the group.
