UNIS will conclude its activities as a full group this week.
F&F Entertainment announced on September 22 that its exclusive management contract with UNIS will expire on September 26, bringing the project group’s official activities together to an end after two and a half years.
According to the agency, it had continued discussions with the members about the contract period and their future activities before ultimately deciding to conclude UNIS’s full-group activities according to the originally scheduled timeline.
UNIS was formed through SBS survival program Universe Ticket and debuted in March 2024 with the mini album WE UNIS. The eight-member lineup consists of Hyeonju, Nana, Gehlee, Kotoko, Yunha, Elisia, Yoona and Seowon.
Unlike an unexpected contract termination, the September 26 date completes the two-and-a-half-year project period established for the group following Universe Ticket.
The group will release one final digital single before that chapter closes. “Milky Way” is scheduled for September 23, three days before the contract expires.
The ending arrives while UNIS is still seeing momentum from its recent music. Its September remake of B.B.’s “Sky Land Star Land” has continued climbing Korean charts following promotions, making the conclusion of group activities a particularly bittersweet point in the group’s run.
F&F Entertainment said it will support the members as they move into their respective next chapters.
