Eunha, SinB and Umji have signed exclusive contracts with UNCORE, confirming that the three longtime groupmates plan to continue their activities together under a new agency.
UNCORE announced the contracts on October 5, saying it plans to support both the members’ individual work and their continued activities as a team.
One important piece of their future, however, remains unsettled: whether they will still be able to promote as VIVIZ.
According to UNCORE, discussions have been taking place with the trio’s former agency over continued use of the existing group name. The two sides have not reached a final agreement because of differences over the proposed terms.
Rather than allowing the dispute to delay the members’ return, UNCORE said it is also considering having Eunha, SinB and Umji resume activities under a new group name.
The development gives the trio a clearer path forward after their dispute with former agency Big Planet Made Entertainment. Yonhap reported that the members previously sought an injunction to suspend their exclusive contracts over issues including unpaid settlements, with the court granting their request.
Eunha, SinB and Umji first debuted together as members of GFRIEND in 2015. Following GFRIEND’s departure from Source Music in 2021, the three reunited under Big Planet Made and debuted as VIVIZ in 2022.
UNCORE says the group name and specific plans for the members’ return will be announced later.
