South Korean singer-songwriter Yeyoung Kang has released her new five-track EP, A Day To Be Glad, on October 29 through YG PLUS, drawing inspiration from five years of keeping a daily gratitude journal.
The project follows her 2025 full-length album Too Real To Enjoy, blending vintage-inspired R&B pop with reflections on love, happiness and the small moments of gratitude found in everyday life.
At the heart of the EP is a personal habit that eventually became its creative foundation. In album notes provided by Camino Entertainment, Kang explained that writing down what she was grateful for each night helped her recognize more reasons to appreciate her life.
That experience directly inspired “Gratitude Journal” (감사일기), one of the EP’s two designated title tracks.
The other title track, “Couldn’t Love You More” (더 사랑을 하는 일은 없을 거야), explores an apparent contradiction: being unable to love someone any more deeply because that love already feels complete. The song expresses its message through warm, vintage R&B influences.
The five-track release also includes “Good Day To Be Glad,” “On And On” and “In the Back Seat.”
According to Kang’s official album introduction, the track sequence follows the progression of a day, moving from morning through afternoon, evening and night before welcoming another day. The closing track reinforces the EP’s central idea that happiness can be found closer to home than people might expect.
Kang wrote, composed and arranged all five tracks, with additional musicians contributing to the recordings and production.
The singer-songwriter is scheduled to perform at Unplugged in Hongdae, Seoul, on November 1, followed by guest appearances on regional MBC radio programs.
A Day To Be Glad is available now on music platforms, accompanied by a music video for “Couldn’t Love You More.”
