BIGHIT MUSIC says it will challenge a prosecutorial decision involving two people accused of illegally obtaining CORTIS’s accommodation address and entering the group’s residence without authorization.

In a September 16 notice, the agency provided an update on the July incident, saying two foreign suspects were reported to police immediately after the alleged trespassing and that the company cooperated with the subsequent investigation.

According to BIGHIT, the suspects admitted at the scene that they had purchased information about CORTIS’s accommodation address through social media before entering the residence without authorization.

Police referred the two suspects to prosecutors without detention on suspicion of jointly trespassing upon a residence. They recently received a suspension of indictment, a disposition in which prosecutors recognize the alleged offense but close the case without formally bringing an indictment.

BIGHIT said it considers both unauthorized entry into artists’ residences and the buying and selling of private address information serious threats to artist safety and privacy. The company plans to formally object to the disposition and seek another legal determination on whether the suspects should be prosecuted.

The agency also warned that unauthorized entry into shared areas of an artist’s residence — including entrances, stairways, hallways and elevators — can constitute residential trespassing.

Beyond the July case, BIGHIT said it continues to collect evidence and pursue legal responses to other conduct affecting CORTIS, including malicious posts and repeated stalking behavior. The agency specifically cited incidents involving illegally obtained flight information, covert photography aboard aircraft and attempts to approach members while they were resting.

BIGHIT said it will continue taking legal action against conduct that threatens CORTIS members’ privacy, safety and rights both online and offline.
