BTS Closes North American ‘ARIRANG’ Tour With 1.92 Million Fans

BTS has completed the North American leg of its ARIRANG world tour after 31 sold-out concerts across 12 cities drew approximately 1.92 million attendees.

The five-month run concluded with four shows at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on September 1, 2, 5 and 6. According to BigHit Music, approximately 282,000 people attended the Los Angeles dates, while livestreams of the concerts reached viewers in 177 countries and regions through Weverse.

The Los Angeles finale also extended BTS’ history at SoFi Stadium.

Including four Permission to Dance on Stage — LA concerts held there in 2021, BTS has now performed eight shows at the venue — the most by any act. Those eight concerts have drawn approximately 496,000 attendees in total, also setting a cumulative attendance record at the stadium.

The closing shows continued the Korean cultural themes running through the ARIRANG tour. During “Body to Body,” which incorporates the traditional Korean folk song “Arirang,” fans raised South Korean flags and sang along with the melody.

The North American leg also drew a series of official recognitions along the route, including “BTS Week” in Los Angeles, “BTS Weekend” in Toronto and “BTS Day” in Illinois.

BTS will next take the ARIRANG tour to South America, beginning October 2 in Bogotá before stops in Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires and São Paulo.
