EXO-CBX and Bubble Clash Over Fan-Platform Exit After Fromm Move

Bubble says its service contract with Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin remains valid despite the trio announcing their departure and launching on competing platform Fromm.

EXO-CBX are facing a new contract dispute over their fan-communication service after moving from Bubble to competing platform Fromm.

Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin previously told fans that they would stop using Bubble as of September 30 and would announce a new space for fan communication once it was ready.

Bubble challenged that announcement, saying the decision had not been agreed with the company in advance and that its existing service contract remained valid.

The platform said it had been contacted by representatives for the three artists and was attempting to reach an agreement over the service.

EXO-CBX then launched fan communication through Fromm on October 7.

In a further statement on October 9, Bubble said it had repeatedly requested discussions through the artists’ representatives but that those talks had not taken place. The company also said it learned on October 7 that Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin had begun offering a service through another company.

Bubble maintained that its contract could not be ended solely through a unilateral notice from the artists.

Despite that position, the company said it would terminate EXO-CBX’s Bubble service on November 20 because it could not provide the full service without the artists’ cooperation.

The disagreement is separate from the trio’s ongoing disputes involving their management arrangements and former agency SM Entertainment. No court has ruled on the validity of the Bubble contract, and the platform’s statements represent its position in the dispute.

The situation leaves EXO-CBX actively communicating with fans through Fromm while Bubble continues to maintain that its prior service agreement remains legally effective until the service is shut down.
