Fin.K.L Preparing Reunion Concert as Lee Hyori Shares New Details

Fin.K.L’s long-awaited return is beginning to take shape, with Lee Hyori revealing that the first-generation K-pop girl group is preparing a reunion concert.

Appearing on MBC FM4U’s A Perfect Day with Lee Sang-soon on October 20, Lee discussed the group’s preparations following September’s announcement that all four members would resume formal activities.

Asked how preparations were progressing, Lee initially said the group was preparing a concert before briefly questioning whether those plans had already been announced. She subsequently explained that she had been busy balancing rehearsals with her daily yoga classes.

The disclosure offers a more specific glimpse into Fin.K.L’s return, which was formally announced on September 21 by Gemstone E&M.

The reunion brings Lee Hyori, Ock Joo-hyun, Lee Jin and Sung Yuri back together for sustained group activities approximately 21 years after their last formal music release in 2005.

During the radio appearance, Lee also discussed the challenges of planning activities after such a long absence. With the members having pursued different personal and professional paths, she explained that they have been holding repeated meetings to determine how best to approach their return.

The singer expressed interest in releasing new music, appearing on entertainment programs and potentially participating in major festivals. However, those possibilities remain aspirations rather than confirmed engagements.

For now, the concert preparations represent the clearest indication yet of what Fin.K.L’s next chapter could look like.
