LISA’s upcoming documentary “Always Lalisa” is heading from the festival circuit to cinemas around the world.
Sony Music Vision announced that the feature-length film will begin a limited global theatrical run in IMAX and cinemas on October 12 through Trafalgar Releasing. Tickets officially go on sale September 9.
The theatrical rollout will follow the documentary’s world premiere at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival.
Directed by Sue Kim, “Always Lalisa” follows a pivotal year in LISA’s career as she steps away from BLACKPINK’s group activities and builds out her identity as a solo artist.
The film documents the making and release of her debut solo album “Alter Ego,” her acting debut in the third season of “The White Lotus” and preparations for her 2025 solo performance at Coachella. It also explores the pressures surrounding her expansion into acting and business while trying to maintain a life outside the spotlight.
The documentary arrives during another active stretch of LISA’s solo career. Her next EP, “PRESS PLAY,” is scheduled for October 23, while its first single, “SaWaDika,” arrived September 3.
“Always Lalisa” will also receive a global streaming release exclusively through YouTube Premium later this year, although an exact streaming date has not yet been announced.
The film is produced by Sony Music Vision in association with RCA Records and Tremolo Productions, alongside Salt Water Productions and LLOUD CO.
