BIGBANG Returns to U.S. Headlining Shows After Nine Years With Sold-Out Oakland Run

BIGBANG has returned to headlining U.S. concerts for the first time in nine years.

The group completed a two-night run at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum on September 4 and 5 as its 2026–2027 “XX : COSMOS” world tour reached North America.

The Oakland dates marked BIGBANG’s first headlining concerts in the United States since 2017. G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung had already returned to a U.S. stage earlier this year with a reunion performance at Coachella, but Oakland represented the group’s return to its own U.S. tour dates.

Demand had already expanded the stop before the tour arrived. September 5 was originally scheduled as BIGBANG’s sole Oakland concert before YG Entertainment added a second show on September 4, citing overwhelming demand.

Both nights ultimately sold out, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

The concerts are part of BIGBANG’s 20th-anniversary cycle, which also includes the group’s new single “BiiiG” and its first world tour in nine years.

Oakland opened the U.S. leg of “XX : COSMOS.” BIGBANG will next play MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on September 11 before the tour continues to Europe with stadium dates in Paris and London.

The wider tour continues across Asia and Oceania through early 2027, extending a return that has brought BIGBANG back to large-scale international touring after nearly a decade away.
