ENHYPEN’s First Six-Member Album Passes 2 Million Sales

ENHYPEN’s first album as a six-member group has crossed a familiar milestone.

The group’s eighth mini album, “THE SIN : BLISS,” recorded 2,022,369 cumulative sales on Hanteo Chart as of August 26, making it ENHYPEN’s fifth album to surpass 2 million copies.

It also becomes the group’s fourth album to reach 2 million sales during its first week.

“THE SIN : BLISS” follows “ORANGE BLOOD,” “ROMANCE : UNTOLD,” “DESIRE : UNLEASH” and “THE SIN : VANISH” as ENHYPEN releases to reach double-million seller status.

The number carries some additional weight this time.

“THE SIN : BLISS” is ENHYPEN’s first album since the group reorganized as six members following Heeseung’s departure in March. Ahead of the album’s release, Jungwon said the members focused on making the best album possible rather than the change in their number.

The resulting 10-track release continues the vampire storyline from January’s “THE SIN : VANISH,” following its central couple as they begin to see their life together as a blessing despite the uncertainty surrounding their escape.

Its title track, “Bloody Paradise,” brings Brazilian funk into that story, while the album also includes tracks such as “Two Fools,” “Bad For You,” “Stuck,” “Checkmate” and “Highlight.”

The album is showing strength outside Korea as well.

“THE SIN : BLISS” debuted at No. 1 on Oricon’s Daily Album Ranking in Japan on August 25 with an estimated 165,958 copies sold. It remained at No. 1 on the August 26 daily ranking.

For ENHYPEN, crossing 2 million is no longer unfamiliar territory. Doing it again with the first release of a new six-member chapter, however, gives this particular milestone a little more significance.

The lineup changed. So far, the group’s commercial momentum hasn’t.
