Stray Kids is expanding beyond the traditional tour format with the launch of STRAYCITY, a new artist-centered festival series opening Wednesday in Bogotá.
The first STRAYCITY Latin America date takes place September 9 at Vive Claro, with Stray Kids headlining alongside fellow JYP Entertainment group NEXZ and Colombian artists Kei Linch and Bad Milk.
Rather than presenting Stray Kids as one act on a conventional multi-artist festival bill, STRAYCITY builds the event itself around the group. The format combines a Stray Kids headline performance with NEXZ and a rotating selection of artists from the host market, giving each stop a regional component while maintaining a consistent K-pop centerpiece.
Bogotá also marks Stray Kids’ first performance in Colombia.
The platform will continue with two dates at Hipódromo de San Isidro in Buenos Aires on September 14 and 15, where NEXZ will be joined by Argentine acts K4OS and Cocho.
STRAYCITY then moves to Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City for shows on September 25 and 26, featuring NEXZ alongside Andrés Obregón and RENEE.
The five-date Latin American rollout gives STRAYCITY a structure closer to a traveling artist-branded festival than another leg of a standard arena tour. Its rotating local lineups also distinguish the concept from simply adding support acts to a Stray Kids concert.
For Stray Kids, the launch adds another large-scale live format to a career that has increasingly moved onto stadium and festival stages internationally. Whether STRAYCITY develops beyond its initial Latin American run remains to be seen, but its opening establishes a new touring model built specifically around the group.
